Duane
Jarvis is most well known as a gifted guitarist, having etched his
sound onto recordings by John Prine, Dwight Yoakum, Lucinda Williams
and countless others. He is also quickly gaining notoriety as a singer/songwriter
with audiences on the west coast and Tennessee. His fan base is also
growing in Europe where Rolling Stone-Germany declared "Delicious" a
four-star CD.
He plays guitar, mandolin, bass or whatever anyone puts in his hands.
His songs are mostly electric, self-described "country-soul rock-n-roll" and
he has had publishing deals with Burt Bacharach/Windswept, Leiber & Stoller
and most recently with Nettwerk Songs Ltd.
You can hear his work in the soundtracks for "Horse Whisperer" and "The
Rookie" among other film and TV projects. Some of his recent collaboration's
have been with Rosie Flores, Dave Alvin, Frank Black, Victoria Williams,
P.F. Sloan, M. Ward and most recently recording with Peter Noone of
Herman's Hermits. "DJ's" next CD is slated for a summer release.
